As a Content Designer (Levels) in our Edinburgh studio, you will be working within the Design team to produce exceptional levels using custom level editing tools. You will be responsible for the full life cycle of a level, from initial concept through to final implementation and iteration. You will build levels from the ground up and implement all relevant logic and gameplay elements, as well as take responsibility for the visual quality. You will work under the direction of a creative lead and collaborate with artists and scripters to ensure that it aligns well with the other aspects of the game and its levels.
A Content Designer (Level) should understand what makes levels fun to play and how to shape the experience for players. They should also have an understanding of industry best practice and standards, as well as a strong ability to respond constructively to feedback. This applicant is also expected to be able to deal with other related disciplines in order to resolve problems and elicit requirements within the context of level design.
